2010 PIKE Fights/Reading Railroad Fundraiser
The PIKES are once again partnering with Weakley County Reading Railroad to raise money for local children.
Ribeye sandwiches, chips and drinks will be sold on Friday, April 9 from 4-6pm prior to the 2010 Pike Fights.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any PIKE or REading Railroad Board Members. Tickets are also available at the WEakley County Press.

THE CURIOUS SAVAGE
By JOHN PATRICK
This enjoyable and endearing comedy demonstrates that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection are not entirely lost in a world that sometimes seems only motivated by greed and dishonesty. Wealthy widow Ethel Savage has been committed to a mental institution by her stepchildren, who are angry because she wants to leave all her money to charity rather than give it to them. In the sanitarium she meets various social misfits, men and women who just cannot adjust themselves to the ?normalcy? of living. In getting to know them, because Mrs. Savage realizes that she will find happiness with her new friends, she plans to spend the rest of her life as one of ?them.? Her lack of interest in ?interest? and all things monetary or material drives her stepchildren to distraction and the audience to laughter.
Evening performances begin at 8:00 pm. Sunday Matinees at 3:00 pm. |
