The April MBA Business of the month is UTM Veterinary Health Technology.
The University of Tennessee at Martin offers an exceptional curriculum in the area of Veterinary Health Technology and has a large 700 acre teaching farm with beef cattle, horses, sheep, and swine. The UTM Veterinary Health Technology program also runs a fully functional companion animal (dog and cat) laboratory/teaching facility. The primary purpose of the teaching farm and facility is to provide experiential learning opportunities for students.
The University of Tennessee at Martin also houses the West Tennessee Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory that performs necropsies and diagnostics for food and fiber producers for pet owners of West Tennessee. There are two full time Veterinarians and two Licensed Veterinary Technologists on staff.
These facilities and dedicated personnel provides hands on teaching with real world surroundings. The instructors teach individuals how to work with clients and others students as you would in a professional work place.They work directly with UTM students in order to enhance the education and learning experience related to the veterinary field.
