Purchase with Purpose – Shop Martin & Support the Library 
COVID -19 has clearly impacted the economy of Martin and fundraising plans for the new Martin Public Library.  The Martin Public Library Foundation has organized Purchase with Purpose – Shop Martin to help respond to both needs. More than 20 Martin businesses have signed up to participate so far. The shopping dates are September 25th and 26th.  Participating businesses will donate a portion of their sales from the 2 dates to the Martin Public Library Foundation to help reach their final funding goal. 
The Library Foundation has raised $1,276,000 toward its $1.5 milliongoal. 

Foundation President, Nick Dunagan said, “COVID-19 has instilled a lot of uncertainty into our lives and it has slowedour fundraising efforts, but it has not diminished what this new library is going to mean to our community.”  
 
“This idea started with Teddy Vincent, owner of Teddy Kay Studio, and grew to involvemore businesses.  We are appreciative of the great community support received for the library and believe this is one of those WIN-WIN situations.  Local businesses get a boost and their donation helps the Library Foundation reach its funding goal”, said Ann Swain, MartinPublic Library Foundation Board member.
